The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) annually rates employers on how supportive they are of LGBT employees and the larger LGBT community.
Many employers strive for a 100% rating in the Corporate Equality Index as a sign of Diversity Excellence.
The HRC CEI includes points for having Sexual Orientation in the EO policy, having Gender Identity and Expression in the EO Policy, and having Domestic Partner Benefits.
To help complete the picture, in 2006 HRC will begin to include points for coverage of Transgender Health Benefits (THBs.)
